Tegan van der Westhuizen



Educational Psychologist

MEd Educational Psychology (UP) (Cum Laude)

Tegan obtained her BEd Intermediate Phase, Honours and Masters (cum laude) Degrees in Educational Psychology at the University of Pretoria and is registered the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF). She is currently completing her PhD at the University of Pretoria. Tegan is passionate about learning and developing her knowledge base in order to better support her clients.

Her greatest passion lies in assisting children, adolescents, and young adults to actualise their full potential by realising their own unique strengths and abilities. She offers individual therapy, play therapy, parental support and guidance, career guidance and counselling, and is able to conduct a range of assessments,

Tegan believes it is important for her clients to realise that they are unique and their differences should be celebrated. She is a strong advocate for giving a voice to those that do not always know how to express their needs. Therefore, she works hard to identify the specific learning and emotional needs of each of her clients so that they can receive the appropriate support that can aid them in living a fulfilling and meaningful life.
