Ashleigh is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa, as
well as the Board of Healthcare Funders. She has a passion for promoting mental health within the
South African context and she seeks to understand individuals in relation to their unique social
contexts. She enjoys working with a wide range of mental health challenges and with those of
varying ages, with a particular interest in children and adolescents.
She takes an eclectic approach to therapy and has been trained in a variety of psychological
modalities, including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and play therapy, with
a special interest in equine assisted psychotherapy, dialectical behavioural therapy and integrated
brain based approaches. She moreover has experience in COVID-19 related distress, trauma,
substance abuse, depression, and emotional regulation difficulties in adolescents.
Ashleigh aims to collaborate with her client to engage in an intervention that is best suited to them
and their needs.
